Senator’s Scott Brown’s Rise to Fame

Senator Scott Brown was born on September 12, 1959 in a Jittery, Maine hospital. While born in Main, Scott Brown had the privilege of growing up in Wakefield, Massachusetts. His father was C. Bruce Brown, a city counselor, and Brown said he can remember holding signs for his father’s election at an early age. Even though, Brown had a very rocky and unstable childhood. His parents divorced whe n he was one, and he was raised by various relatives.

He has a small criminal record from this time, and Brown admits, “I was a jerk. I had some issues…” But nevertheless, Brown straightened up as he grew older and matured. He graduated from high school and began to attend Tufts University. During his junior year and joined the Army National Guard, but still managed to finish his degree and graduated from Tufts with a Bachelor’s degree in 1981. He then continued his education at Boston College Law College and earned his Juries Doctor.

He continued to do big things in the National Guard during his college years and far after. He participated in the National Guard for over 30 years, rising to the honor of being Lieutenant Colonel. He was deployed twice, once to Kazakhstan and another time to Paraguay. His time in that National Guard served him well in his career because he was the Army Guard’s head defense lawyer.

Senator Brown finally got to start his political career in the year of 1992 as the assessor of Wretch, Massachusetts. Three years later he was elected as the Wretch Board of Selectors, only to raise his way up three years later into the Massachusetts House of Representatives. After serving 4 years in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, he was elected into the Massachusetts Senate in 2004.

Senator Brown is planning on running for the U.S. Senate position now open due to the death of Ted Kennedy. With his family behind him every step of the way, he has his wife, Gail Brown (previously Huff), and his two daughters, Ay la and Adriana.

Senator Brown is not only a politician; he is a great family man. He has stated that he wants to raise his daughters the very best way, and he wants to be sure that they have a better childhood than him. His daughters are off to a great start. Ay la was a semi-finalist contestant on American Idol, while Adriana is a premed student at Syracuse University.

Along with his personal life, Senator Brown has done great things for the community. Aside from being in the National Guard, Brown has been involved in many Massachusetts associations working to better improve the lives of his fellow Massachusetts’ citizens. He also was highly involved in restoring civilization after the 2001 September terrorist attacks. He even received an Army Commendation Medal for his acts.
