The Amazing China

China is an ancient country with nearly 5,000 years of very interesting written history! Chinese people are very well known by the people who respect and follow their culture to this date and are expected to do so in the future as well. The Chinese believe that following their roots and culture will earn them good opportunity, success and respect in the their lives. China is well known for its me n power from labour to the army, everyone of them is keen to work and believes that having no goal or being unemployed means ones life is useless for all including him/herself.

Many people may think that a country with such a long history would definitely be involved in inventions, and when it comes China, this country wouldn't let your thoughts down. China is responsible for various inventions such as paper, printing, compass and explosive powder. These are just a few of them which have been amazingly successful in the whole world! It may amaze you to know that it is also credited with having invented the wheel and the first ca lender! fascinating isn't it? It's not just these amazing inventions that China should be held responsible for but many more! Ever wondered who came up with the recipe of ice cream? Some people think that it was Marco Polo who came up with it! But the answer is no, it was the Chinese who came up with the primary recipe for the ice cream in China in 2000 B.C. by packing a milk and rice mixture in the snow. Marco Polo took the recipe of ice cream and noodles back with him to Europe. The Chinese people have been drinking tea for over 1800 years! The white Chinese tea is basically boiled water.

The Chinese weren't that brilliant back in the days but still are and they have modernized their country to a very high level. China has 3240 Television Broadcast Stations and 259 FM channels! In Hong Kong people drive on the left side of the road following the British way but the rest of China drives on the right. This country also has a flourishing gigantic secondary industry. How many times have you picked something and it said made in China at the back? It doesn't even matter which country you live in!

The red colour in China is considered lucky, hence the red Chinese flag. At one time the wedding dresses were also red. The new year banners and lucky money envelopes are still red. The Chinese surely know how to protect themselves individually, the martial Art Kung Fu was invented by the Shaolin Monks who used it to protect themselves from robbers in lonely mountain roads.

Unlike our alphabets the Chinese have over 40,000 characters! Fourth graders are expected to learn 2000 and by the time they leave college, they will know 4,000 or 5,000 characters. The Chinese have so much more of its size, inventions, facts to its history that many of us don't know about.
